Congratulations Wrestlers

Congratulations to Demazio Samuel (195lb.)  and Atavian Oliver  (182 lb.) for their accomplishments this weekend at the NCHSAA state wrestling championships in Greensboro.  Demazio finished 3rd in the state and Atavian finished 2nd in the state!

Playoff Basketball

The Men’s Basketball team will host Heritage High School in the first round of the NCHSAA basketball playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 7:00.  All tickets are $6.00.  No Season Passes will be accepted..

Conference Basketball

The PAC 6 Conference basketball tournament has been cancelled due to the cancellation of school all week.  State playoff brackets will be released Saturday.  Stay tune for an update of Northern’s Boys first round state playoff game, time and location.

Hall of Fame

The Northern High School Hall of Fame will induct its 7th class on Saturday evening April 25, 2015 at Croasdaile Country Club. Inductees:  Thomas Bethea, Joe Carden, Greg Jones, Jerry Neal, and Richard Wheeler. Basketball Tonight

The JV Boys basketball team will travel to East Chapel Hill tonight for a 5:30 game against the wildcats. The Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys teams will be at home against East Chapel Hill at 5:30 & 7:00.

Northern Boys Defeat Riverside

The Northern Varsity Boys Basketball team got back in the win column Tuesday Knight in front of a packed house.  In a game that was tight throughout, the Knights prevailed with a 73-63 win over Riverside. Swimming – Conference Finals

NHS Knights swam at the PAC 6 Conference Championships last night at UNC’s Koury Natatorium.  Many swimmers had strong performances:  Senior Captain Cody Pineiro and Junior Cody Helm turned in personal best times with exceptional swims in their events. Yeily Fuentes and Mark Saldana also continued their trend of swimming faster each time they hit
